Animal Safety Issues/Concerns Program

Washington County School Teachers:

We have great news! Animal Control Officer Greg Haynes and I are now offering programs about various animal safety issues/concerns school wide. These programs vary depending on age/grade and could cover anything from rabies, dog bite prevention, safe pet interaction, and more.

More than likely, your students come in contact with at least one animal a day and some of these animals they may not be familiar with. We would love nothing more than to come to your classroom one on one or get together as a group and speak with your students about animal safety.

Just last year, we- along with the Health Department- worked a total of 17 animal bite cases- some of which could have been prevented had the individuals had proper knowledge on how to act safely around animals.
